Article 1 — What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on the User's device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when browsing the Platform. It allows information related to navigation to be stored and the User to be recognised during subsequent visits.

In accordance with Directive 2002/58/EC known as "ePrivacy", transposed into French law by Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés), and with the recommendations of the CNIL, Triptic informs the User of the use of cookies on the Platform. All cookies used by Triptic fall within categories exempt from consent (strictly necessary cookies, preference cookies, cookies related to the performance of the contract). No cookie subject to consent is placed by the Platform. Consequently, no consent collection banner is required.

Article 2 — Types of cookies used

2.1 Strictly necessary (essential) cookies

These cookies are essential to the operation of the Platform. They are used in particular to maintain the User's login session, ensure browsing security, and remember technical choices (language, display preferences). They do not require the User's consent and cannot be disabled.

  • Authentication session cookie: keeps the User logged in. Duration: session.
  • CSRF cookie (protection against security vulnerabilities): ensures the security of forms. Duration: session.

2.2 Preference cookies

These cookies remember the User's choices (language, theme, display preferences) in order to personalise the experience on the Platform. They are considered necessary for ease of use and do not require specific consent.

2.3 Analytics cookies (audience measurement)

Triptic uses Umami, an open source audience analytics solution self-hosted on Triptic's servers (OVH, France). Umami is designed with privacy in mind:

  • no personal data is collected;
  • no cookie is placed on the User's device;
  • data is anonymised and is not transferred to third parties;
  • data is stored exclusively on servers located in France.

In accordance with the CNIL's guidelines on cookies and audience measurement solutions exempt from consent, the use of Umami in this configuration does not require the User's prior consent.

2.4 Third-party cookies

The Platform uses the following third-party services, which may place cookies:

Stripe (secure payment)

Stripe may place technical cookies necessary for the secure processing of payments and the prevention of fraud. These cookies are related to the performance of the contract and do not require specific consent.
Stripe Privacy Policy: https://stripe.com/fr/privacy

Leaflet / OpenStreetMap (mapping)

The display of maps on the Platform is provided by Leaflet, an open source JavaScript library executed client-side, using OpenStreetMap map tiles. Address search is provided by Nominatim (OpenStreetMap's geocoding service). These services do not place any cookie on the User's device and do not require specific consent.

Article 3 — Cookie management by the User

Since none of the cookies used by the Platform requires consent, Triptic does not implement a cookie management banner. The User may nevertheless configure their browser to refuse or delete all or part of the cookies. However, disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect the operation of the Platform (loss of session, inability to log in).

For more information on managing cookies in browsers, the User may consult the CNIL website: https://www.cnil.fr/fr/cookies-et-autres-traceurs.

Article 4 — Retention period

Session cookies are deleted when the browser is closed. Preference cookies are kept for a maximum period of twelve (12) months. No data collected by an analytics cookie is stored on the User's device, as Umami operates without cookies.
